Public Utilities
In order to improve the quality of life of the Indian farmer, Zuari has undertaken
numerous welfare programs. The activities undertaken
as part of this program include the construction of bus shelters in rural areas,
providing facilities for drinking water, toilet facilities, etc.
To give financial support and inspiration to the children of farmers, Zuari awards
scholarships to students from economically backward classes who wish to pursue professional
degree courses in agriculture and engineering. The company also constructs playgrounds
for schools and helps maintain parks and gardens.
The company has even undertaken planting of trees along highways. Till date Zuari
has constructed over 20 bus shelters, 4 drinking water tanks, 15 tree base structures,
and 2 playgrounds in the marketing territory under this program.
